Technical Infrastructure
As part of any Prefab Data Centre, Telecoms Cabin, SecureCube / SCIF or PowerCube installation, Workspace Technology will typically specify and install a range of technical services including equipment racks & accessories, structured cabling, Access Control and Intruder Detection security systems that are an integral part of a Housing environment.
Prefab Data Centre & Telecoms Cabin Structured Cabling
Workspace Technology are certified cable installers for several leading cable brands and we support a range of Cat6A (10Gig), Cat6 and fibre optical solutions which are fully compliant with TIA-942 recommended installation practices.
As part of the Prefab design, Workspace Technology, typically installs a combination of internal cabinet to cabinet copper and fibre optical links tailored to suit individual client requirements.
External fibre and copper links can also be specified and installed as part of a turnkey Prefab installation.
Prefab Containment Systems & Wire-ways
In-line with the availability and agility demands of NCPI, Workspace Technology will install dedicated containment systems and wireways to support deployment of both power and I.T/Control wiring systems and fibre optical cabling throughout the Prefab Data Centre or Telecoms Cabin in a tidy and manageable fashion.
Typically, to achieve the flexibility to support current and future cable deployments, a grid based design will be delivered. Options include; underfloor, overhead and a combination of both, providing maximum accessibility whilst minimising impact on air circulation.
Prefab Equipment Racks & Accessories
We offer a wide range of high-quality enterprise class equipment racks and PDUs sourced from a range of manufacturers including APC by Schneider Electric.
Racks & Enclosure – Schneider Electric NetShelter enclosures, open frame racks, and related products provide a complete solution to meet the challenges facing server and networking applications across many environments. Our range of rack accessories provide excellent cable management capabilities for high density networking and are ideal for Prefab Data Centre & Telecoms Cabin deployments.
Rack PDUs – Whether you require the deployment of rack power distribution in a wiring closet, server room, data centre or Telecoms Housing, Workspace Technology supports a variety of power density applications up to 22 kW per PDU.
Workspace Technology offers Schneider Electric’s industry leading range of Rack PDUs which include:
- Basic Rack PDU — Entry-level power distribution for rack-mount equipment
- Metered Rack PDU — Advanced power distribution providing real-time remote monitoring of connected loads
- Switched Rack PDU — Premium power distribution providing remote control of individual outlets and monitoring of aggregate current consumption
- Metered-by-Outlet with Switching — Provides real-time remote monitoring of each individual outlet and on/off outlet control.
Security & Access Control
An integral part of any Prefab infrastructure is physical security due to its direct role in maximising system availability. It achieves this by reducing downtime from accidents or sabotage due to the possibility of unnecessary persons (or those with malicious intent) gaining access.
We offer clients with options based on ‘what you have’, ‘what you know’, and ‘who you are’. Systems range from a simple lock and key to computer activated proximity card controllers and pin code devices. Combined with IP Camera monitoring, a flexible approach can be designed to support client demands.
When enhanced security is required for our SecureCube® products we offer integration of high security systems including:
- CPNI Certified Intruder Detection
- CPNI Certified Access Control System
- IPCCTV Monitoring & Local Recording
- Grade 3 or CPNI Certified Locking Systems
